Do people even read blogs anymore? About me… I am encroaching on middle age, and it’s weird. I am a Mother, Wife, Daughter, and Friend. My son is entering his senior year at a suburban high school in Columbus, Ohio. I often wonder, “How did I get here?”
I love to cook and create delicious flavor profiles. I am terrible with recipes, because I don’t follow them, and my food never tastes the same way twice. (Yes, I am aware that was poor grammar).
Music is something I love, and I feel it’s something that I have been away from over the past few years. I enjoy going to shows, and listening to my guiltiest of guilty pleasures. (I LOVE Genesis and Phil Collins… oh, and a lot of ‘80’s top 40). I also love to play the trumpet, although it has taken a big back burner. My son also plays, and he loathes when I break out the practice horn, because he says I am showing off. (I am, its true. Why not? I am very proud I can still hit the High C!) Fun fact… I played on stage at the first NelsonFest with The Dirty Dozen Brass Band. (The trumpet player let me play his trumpet!)
To wrap this up, this blog is going to be about a lot of random things. I have a lot of random thoughts… Here’s to a journey of random. Buckle up, Butter Cup… it might be a weird and boring ride.
